FELLDUR

Harbinger welcomes you to the opening of Margrét H. Blöndal’s exhibition Field on Sunday April 12th at 16.00.

Sequences real time art festival is taking place for the seventh time in Reykjavík April 10-19, 2015.

Sequences VII presents a spectrum of video installations, screenings, performances and discussions centered on the theme of ‘Plumbing’, that is, a network of parts that carries content from A to B and is barely noticed unless it is absent or breaks down, triggering a crisis. The paradoxes of contemporary society condensed in a single word, plumbing.

Sequences VII presents the work of 26 local and international artists in 10 different venues around Reykjavík. Field by Margrét H. Blöndal will be exhibited at Harbinger, opening Sunday April 12 at 16.00. The work conceived for Sequences VII is something close to the concept of ‘taking care’. Blöndal embraces Harbinger, which she clearly remembers when it was a fish shop, and inhabits it with elements shaping not only the visual aspect but also the navigation of it, the narratives and the physical experience of those who enter. It’s angular and clear-cut, white and colour-keyed, light and physical. It’s infrastructure. It’s a field of possibilities.
