Open Call for a three months residency in Leipzig

Regarding artists from Sweden, Iceland and Denmark
Residency period: November 2018 through January 2019

– LIA-Leipzig International Art Programme ( is a ten year old art programme and not for profit artist residency at the Spinnerei Leipzig (a 10 hectare big art factory of studios, galleries and art institutions), offered is a 80 square meter furnished studio to live and work in, care taker, group
show, and guest critique visit, it is fully funded (1.150 € per month) (please see the button on the LIA web-site: application for information of all
services included)

– the stipend includes a group show in January during the Winter Gallery Tour of the Spinnerei (

– one time payment of 500 € for alimentation and materials

– full payment of 1.000 € production costs for the production of one print at Atelier für Radierung Maria ind Vlado Ondrej. For now there will be a Nordic Print edition being produced of six fellows in total which should then go to be a travel show (Iceland, Sweden, Denmark and the next round to follow…), the print studio especially works with artists who do not work in the field of print making, just google them (, they help and teach everything necessary

  • you have to be a citizen of one of the three countries named above
  • please sent a small text, no more than half a DIN A4 page about your motivation to come to Leipzig or project plan
  • 6 images of your work and a CV
