An artist talk by Halla Gunnarsdóttir in relation to her work “Look at Us”, an exhibition about vulnerable and endangered animals currently on view at Listastofan.
Halla will be talking about the Arctic expedition she participated in a year ago with Dr. Sylvia Earle and a group of scientists and wildlife photographers, as well as conservation through visual storytelling and the making of her exhibition – her work processes and influences. The talk will feature work by some outstanding photographers that she traveled with who have been using their powerful images to promote and generate discussion about conservation above and below water.
The duration of this talk will be approximately 45 minutes with some additional time given for discussion afterwards. Two thirds of the talk will be dedicated to the Arctic and the last part will be on the process and influences behind the work in the exhibition.
The talk will be in English.
