A first -brief- evaluation on the exposition:

The allusion to public transport is apparent to anyone. And offers a real choice to people about art. As always it’s up to chance – what we come across in life, Art being one of these – which is common to all. There are specialists around the corners (even in our minds) every time, we grow suspicious and forget something, the most simple things – like what is in front of our eyes!?

The talk is, in a group of friends or ‘professionals’ bout ‘the salary’, applied and granted money and position, business opportunity… Committees, Academics, Important people. Maybe the holy cow is called Curator and we’ve given up being curious.

Laugardalslaug is a curious place indeed… a sacred spot if you ask someone who’s grown up in and out of this place, as generations of Reykvikings have. From humble beginnings the place was built to become one of a concrete utopia, then going through more practical and ‘world class’ transformations, among them. So here we are today.

Now to the stuff of installation, which is a little less athletic yet recreational in a sense. Something sculptural and pictural, with some interactive elements, but mostly quiet static. Like a tomb – though without dead royalty inside. It is up to whoever to be transported to another realm or so to speak. By these things, kind of treasures, by different artists. Different perspectives and all that.
