Í umfjöllun Þóru Vilhjálmsdóttur Wright listfræðinema á viðfangsefni sýningarinnar segir m.a.:

Observation

“Content is a glimpse of something, an encounter like a flash. It’s very tiny – very tiny, content.”

 – Willem De Kooning

Since the time of the ancient Greeks, it has been thought that art is mimesis, an imitation or reflection of reality. Art is still considered to be an interpretation of reality, an expression of thoughts, feelings and sentiments. Artworks often reflect on who we are, where we come from, our place in society, and our connection with environment and nature. The artist chooses his medium of expression and how he presents his ideas.

In this exhibition the artist has a clear view of what he wants to convey and how it should be presented in order to stimulate the viewers’ reactions. Our relationship with nature has changed dramatically over the past decades and we no longer consider ourselves to be a part of a whole. We have forgotten that we are all made of the same elements and that we share the same fate in some form; birth, life, and death….
