The Textile Centre Residency
The Textile Centre was founded in the town of Blönduós in Northwest Iceland. It is situated in the old Womens College on the bank of the river Blanda.
The Textile Centre provides visting artists and scholars with studio workspace and living quarters during their stay.
The area is renowned for a rich textile history and tradition.
Situated in Blönduós is Istex (Icelandic Textiles wool factory) and
the Textile Museum.
